Master of Arts in Diplomacy and International Affairs (MADIA)
MADIA curriculum is designed to provide comprehensive and in-depth knowledge of international affairs. Students complete core courses to develop a foundational knowledge in the field of international relations, international law and international economics. They, then, complete the field of specialization of their choosing.
Foundational Knowledge: The program features a Core Curriculum that draws on a variety of disciplines and provides a foundation in critical analysis. The Core Curriculum is designed across three fundamental areas:
- International Relations and History
- International Economics
- International Law and Organizations
The core curriculum is studied during the first year.
Specialization: The curriculum offers specialization in functional areas and broadens students’ background in international affairs. These functional areas are focused on two tracks:
- International Security and Conflict Resolution
- Caspian Basin Studies
The specialization starts as of the second year of study.
MADIA Graduation Requirements:
- Successfully complete 120 credits
- Complete core courses
- Complete one field of specialization
