Geneva Centre for Security Policy
ADA has a long history of cooperation with Geneva Centre for Security Policy (GCSP). Starting from 2011, GCSP with the support of the Swiss Government, offers two spots to participants from Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy (ADA) to attend their European Training Course in Security Policy (ETC). Along with the ETC course, ADA participants also enroll in the Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) in European Security at the European Institute of the University of Geneva. Participants who complete the programme successfully are awarded the ETC Certificate and the Certificate of Advanced Studies in European Security (20 ECTS).
The ETC and CAS are designed to prepare professionals for enhanced policy analysis and planning, decision making and implementation in a range of international and national situations dealing with European security. The objectives of the course are: to provide participants with a comprehensive and analytical overview of security trends in Europe and the broader neighborhood; to enhance participants’ ability to examine and address security challenges; and, to strengthen participants’ analytical and communication skills.
