MADIA Curriculum

Curriculum of the Master of Arts in Diplomacy and International Affairs is designed to provide comprehensive and in-depth knowledge of international affairs.

Core Curriculum

The purpose of the core curriculum is to ensure that all MADIA students receive an interdisciplinary training in understanding and analyzing international affairs. It includes graduate-level classes in economics, international relations, methodology, law, and academic writing. Students are also required to take a two-year long course on Career Management and Leadership Development that develops their appreciation of skills in leadership, management and negotiation.

Elective Curriculum

During the third and fourth semester of their study, students may personalize their curriculum and choose elective courses of their choice. In the last semester, students are given the choice to write a master’s thesis and obtain 20 ECTS. Students writing a master’s thesis will still need to take a capstone course as well.
