Admission Criteria

Study in ADA is a rigorous and challenging experience. We are looking for candidates with an excellent prior academic record. Successful candidates should also have strong analytical and writing skills. They should demonstrate a potential for growth and determination to pursue a career in the field of international affairs. Candidates should possess a good command of the English language. Fluency in the English language is an important component of the ADA admission requirements. 

Evaluation Process

All applications received by the deadline are reviewed by the ADA Admission Office. The files of the applicants meeting the admissions criteria are reviewed by the ADA Admission Committee, consisting of the Rector, Vice Rector, Dean, Director of Admissions and a member of the faculty. The Committee members review the applications and make their recommendations to the ADA Admissions Office.

Interviewing and Selection

The ADA Admissions Office notifies selected candidates for interviews. Only short-listed candidates are called in for an evaluative interview. The interview is conducted in English. An interview with each Azerbaijan-based candidate is scheduled to take place at the ADA office; interviews with international students can be conducted via video conference or telephone. 

The purpose of the interview is to get acquainted with the candidate and assess his/her analytical thinking, interpersonal and communication skills, as well as career objectives. Upon completion of the evaulative interviews, the Admission Committee makes a final recommendation on each student's admission. 

Notification and Acceptance

Admitted candidates are notified by the ADA Admissions Office. All candidates are able to check the status of their application and receive the final decision of the Admissions Committee using ADA’s online application system. Admitted candidates must notify ADA of their decision to enroll by signing and submitting the Acceptance Acknowledge Form (AAF) by the indicated date. All admitted students are required to attend Orientation and Pre-term.
