Micheil Tokmazishvili is Member of the Council of the National Bank of Georgia, Senior researcher at the Foundation Case-Transcaucasus – Center for Social and Economic Research.  He previously served as Head of Department of Macroeconomics of the Budget office of the Parliament of Georgia, country manager of the program of the Economic Development Institute of the World Bank in Georgia.  Dr. Tokmazishvili holds PhD from Tbilisi State University.  He served as professor at the various universities of Georgia.  His academic interests include economies in transition, international relations and monetary policy issues.
