Dr.Kazdal joined ADA University in 2009 as a Director of the English for Academic and Professional Purposes Program. In 2012 she became Dean of the School of Humanities and Sciences. In addition, Dr. Kazdal designs and teaches a variety of courses in Academic and Professional English to graduate and undergraduate students, as well as students in the executive programs.

Prior to joining ADA University, Dr.Kazdal worked at Azerbaijan University of Languages as a Director of the Center for Academic Reading and Writing and as an assistantprofessor of Pedagogy. During that time, she was extensively involved in curriculum design as well as pre-service and in-service teacher training. Her other professional employment includes: The Monterey Institute of International Studies (USA), British Council Azerbaijan, and Bahceshehir University (Turkey).

Dr.Kazdal holds a Master’s degree in English Language Studies and Methods from the University of Warwick, UK and a doctorate in Pedagogy from the Azerbaijan University of Languages. In 1999-2000, Dr. Kazdal spent a year at Indiana University Bloomington as visiting faculty. During her stay there, she collaborated closely with the School of Education and Department of Applied linguistics on her PhD dissertation entitled “Communicative Language Teaching: Factors Influencing its Implementation in Azerbaijan”. The findings of her research were shared at TESOL conferences.
