PhD Development and Support Program
ADA prides itself in academic excellence, innovative teaching and learning. It is already an irrefutable career choice for many Azerbaijani and foreign Doctors of Philosophy (PhDs) who excel at teaching, research and public outreach.
The ADA PhD Development and Support Program (PDSP) has been established to maintain the continued academic excellence in the institution and meet its growing need in new faculty and researchers. The purpose of the program is to attract, develop, and retain excellent and diverse faculty in ADA.
ADA’s PhD Development and Support Program is intended to:
- reverse the brain drain and attract PhDs back to Azerbaijan and ADA;
- develop a new generation of Azerbaijani scholars;
- further stimulate interaction and promote a close network among Azerbaijani PhDs;
- stimulate interaction among Azerbaijani and international scholars;
- enhance the knowledge about Azerbaijan in the international scholarly community;
- establish a permanent venue for academic debate at ADA;
- build cooperation to share experiences and insights on research and teaching methods as part of the educational reforms being conducted in Azerbaijan.
The Program consists of three major components:
- PhD Fellowship
- PhD Scholarship
- PhD Workshop
PDSP has been a success story while building our core faculty.
