The PhD Workshops are designed to provide a platform for communication, collaboration and networking among Azerbaijani and foreign PhDs and PhD candidates. They bring together outstanding scholars, who are pursuing or have recently completed their PhD studies abroad in any field of the social sciences and humanities. The Workshop provides and excellent opportunity for sharing the most recent research findings, innovations in teaching, and other academic achievements.
Six workshops have been organized by the PhD Development and Support Program of Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy up to date. Two of these workshops were organized abroad, one in the United States, and the other in France. Approximately 100 Azerbaijani PhDs have presented in these workshops and about additional 70 attended as listeners. The Workshops are moderated by ADA faculty and well-known foreign scholars. Quite some number of foreign PhDs and PhD candidates have also presented in the past, and the Workshop continues its further international outreach. The Seventh ADA PhD Workshop will bring together both Turkish, and Azerbaijani PhDs and PhD candidates, and will take place on June 14-15, 2012 in Ankara, Turkey.
