At present, ADA Library subscribes to a select few databases that include both historical content and recent journal and magazine publications. This list expands as the ADA community’s needs grow and the community as a whole enlarges. Currently, the ADA community is making extensive use of the following databases worldwide:
1. Chronicle of Higher Education - is the No. 1 source of news, information, and jobs for college and university faculty members and administrators. Online, The Chronicle is published every weekday and is the top destination for news, advice, and jobs for people in academe. The Chronicle's Web site features the complete contents of the latest issue; daily news and advice columns; thousands of current job listings; an archive of previously published content; vibrant discussion forums; and career-building tools such as online CV management, salary databases, and more.
2. Columbia International Affairs Online (CIAO) is the most comprehensive source for theory and research in international affairs. It publishes a wide range of scholarship from 1991 onward that includes working papers from university research institutes, occasional papers series from NGOs, foundation-funded research projects, proceedings from conferences, books, journals and policy briefs.
3. Electronic Book Library (EBL) - EBL features more than 200,000 titles from hundreds of academic publishers. EBL’s electronic books can be downloaded to a PC or laptop and transferred to a PDA or other device.
4. EBSCOhost - databases are the most-used, premium online information resources for tens of thousands of institutions worldwide, representing millions of end-users.
5. International Monetary Fund - The IMF is an organization of 187 countries, working to foster global monetary cooperation, secure financial stability, facilitate international trade, promote high employment and sustainable economic growth, and reduce poverty around the world. 6. JSTOR - connects libraries, researchers, teachers, and students around the world with vital scholarly content in more than 50 disciplines.
