Baku, Azerbaijan - The 2-week course titled "Key issues of the world economy for countries with transition economies" covered various aspects of the global economy including trade, financial flows, macroeconomic policies and development in a globalizing economy, the financial crisis and macroeconomic policy responses, the risks of sovereign finance and ways of tackling macroeconomic challenges of resource-rich economies.
During the course, participants had a chance to get first hand information from government officials like Minister of Communications and Information Technologies, Dr. Ali Abbasov. They are visited the Ministry of Taxes and the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan.
Taking into account the successful outcome of the conference, it was decided to hold the joint ADA and UNCTAD regional course in Azerbaijan on an annual basis.
At the end of conference, all participants were awarded with certificates. Representatives of 10 foreign countries participated in the course.
