Baku, Azerbaijan - The Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy’s faculty and staff met with the new students of the MA in Diplomacy and International Affairs on the occasion of the beginning of 2010-2011 academic year.
In his welcoming address, ADA Rector, Hafiz Pashayev congratulated the new students on their acceptance to ADA. Ambassador Pashayev noted that “Azerbaijan’s independent foreign policy increasingly requires more sophisticated knowledge and skills from young diplomats. Young Azerbaijani diplomats will be working in UN and OSCE headquarters, and they will be responsible for mutual relations with the leading states of contemporary world. It lays a huge responsibility on our students and also on our staff and professors to provide the best possible education”.
At the end of ceremony, students elected the members of the Honor Code Committee and ceremonially signed and read out the Honor Code, which embraces all aspects of education at ADA. 29 students have enrolled for the 2010 - 2012 master degree in Diplomacy and International Affairs, of which 6 are foreign students from Georgia, Hungary,Netherlands, Romania, Tanzania and Uganda.
