Baku, Azerbaijan - Professors, staff and students of the Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy, headed by Rector and Deputy Foreign Minister Hafiz Pashayev, gathered on February 25th to commemorate the victims of the Khojaly massacre. It was noted that the Khojaly massacre is one of the most ruthless crimes against Azerbaijanis in the twentieth century, and this massacre will never be forgotten. Speakers at the event emphasized importance of presenting to the world community the truth about the Khojaly massacre and the policy of ethnic cleansing pursued by Armenian gangs against the local population of Nagorno-Karabakh.
Event participants also watched the new film “Refugee” about the life of IDP Anar Usubov dedicated to the 19th anniversary of the Khojaly massacre. The event was also attended by Anar Usubov, who at the age of eight witnessed the Khojaly massacre. Later, professors and students visited the Khojaly monument.
