Baku, Azerbaijan - It has become a good tradition that senior and mid career diplomats participating in the Caspian Basin Studies program are willing to present their countries in at ADA as part of a cultural exchange mission of the mentioned program.
On September 6th ADA staff and students enjoyed the country presentations of 14 diplomats from South Africa, Congo, Nigeria, Niger, Gambia, Madagascar and other countries of the African continent.
It was interesting to learn, for instance, that Madagascar’s incumbent president, H.E. Andry Rajoelina is only 35 years old, that the famous Victoria Falls attracts more tourists than all the other countries of the African continent combined and that Zimbabwe has the highest literacy rate in Africa.
The audience was also excited to hear many other interesting facts which help to broaden our knowledge about the many beautiful sites of Africa.
