Director of Career Management Center

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Director of the Career Management Center (CMC) is responsible for the planning and launching, thereafter, overall operations of the Career Management Center, and developing and providing various types of services to ADA students and alumni aimed at developing their professional skills and career opportunities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop a list of services for the students of the ADA with the aim to increase their professional skills and career opportunities ;
• Organize trainings for the ADA students in resume and cover letter writing, development of marketing plan, mock interview skills, phone call skills and internship search skills ;
• Organize career fairs at ADA and arrange the trips of the ADA students to other career fairs ;
• Build database and publish newsletter on Job and Academic Opportunities for the ADA students ;
• Organize the recruitment visits of the companies to the ADA campus. Market the ADA students to the companies ;
• Create and maintain the database of the ADA alumni ;
• Assist the Dean of Student Services in developing the annual plan of student services and its budget ;
• Advise the ADA students on career choices and opportunities ;
• Assist the Director of Library in database, book and journal selection on career development topics;
• Assist the ADA students to contact and network with the ADA alumni ;
• Organize annual alumni re-unions ;
• Assist the ADA Foundation in fundraising among alumni ;
• Ensure quality control in the CMC and arrange for the feedback from ADA students ;
• Organize meetings with the companies and government agencies to understand their needs in the ADA student body ;
• Maintain ADA webpage on Career opportunities ;
• The Director of the CMC should be ready to train the staff of the CMC Center in the above mentioned tasks.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum Master’s Degree in Higher Education, Student’s Affairs Administration or equivalent from world class educational institutions ;
• At least 5 years of relevant work experience ;
• Substantial experience in putting an effective environment in place for the students to learn, socialize, exchange ideas, develop leadership skills etc. ;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills  in English ;
• Effective interpersonal, communication  and excellent problem solving skills  and assessing students’ needs ;
• Must be able to work effectively with diverse groups and individuals ;
• Commitment to providing the highest level of service at university level in a culturally diverse environment.
