Application Process

Each year, we receive a significant number of applications. We remain highly selective with an emphasis on outstanding academic achievement and potential for growth. Diversity is a core value of ADA University. We admit students from all corners of Azerbaijan and from around the world, who also learn from each other.

Whether you apply for the first time, or you are a transfer or international student, you must submit ADA University Online Application Form and complete ADA University application process.

As part of your application, you will be required to submit the following documents:

  • Resume or CV.
  • Recent photo.
  • Copy of national Identification Card (for citizens of Azerbaijan) or international passport (for internationals).
  • Official high school diploma and high school transcript. These must be translated into English and notary-certified. 
  • Statement of Purpose. Must not exceed 400 words.
  • Test Scores.  


Test Policy

A student's high school record and results of a standardized test are a predictor of academic success in ADA University. In addition, standardized tests ensure the impartiality and transparency of our admission. Citizens of Azerbaijan interested in our undergraduate programs have an option to apply with either SEC or SAT test scores. 

SEC Test

If you are applying with SEC (State Examination Center) test results, you must submit ADA University Online Application Form and complete SEC application process. 

  • Minimum score of 300 is required in SEC Test for Group I
  • Minimum score of 400 is required in SEC Test for Group II and III
Currently, ADA University offers degree programs that fall under Group I, II and III in SEC tests.


SAT Test 

To apply with SAT test results, you must submit ADA University Online Application Form and complete SEC application process. Currently we do not admit to Law program (LLB) with SAT test results.

You are required to meet below SAT and English language requirements set by ADA University. 

  • Minimum 1200 in SAT I.
  • Minimum 600 out of 800 in the SAT I Mathematics section. Required from those applying to Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration and Economics majors.
  • Minimum 6.0 in IELTS Academic or 75 in IBT or 50 in PTE Academic.
All SAT scores must be sent electronically before the deadline to ADA University (Code:7799) and SEC (Code: 7876).


English Proficiency

Azerbaijani citizens applying through SEC are encouraged to take one of the English proficiency exams during their high school years. Those scoring minimum requirements will be exempt from the English for Academic Purposes Program (EAPP) upon admission to ADA University. By doing so, they can reduce their undergraduate studies from one semester to one year. 

Minimum requirements for EAPP exemption:  

  • Minimum 6.0 in IELTS Academic or
  • 75 in IBT or
  • 50 in PTE Academic or
  • 60 in ADA University English Proficiency Test

The deadline for submission of Online Application Form and test scores is June 14, 2019. 

Admission

ADA University has an admission policy based on a holistic review. While a student's academic success is important, equally important is that student's potential for growth and ability to perform in diverse and multicultural environment.

The best indication of whether a student will be successful at ADA University is their prior academic performance - grades they earn, rigor of their coursework and integrity of their GPA. Meanwhile, results of standardized tests may be another predictor of academic success.

Shortlisted students may be invited for an interview. Admission Commission reviews their prior academic records, potential for growth and ability to succeed in ADA University. Prospective students receive their admission offer before September.

Incoming undergraduate students must be aware of key deadlines for their successful application to ADA University. 

Submission of Online Application Form

  • Citizens of Azerbaijan: June 15
  • Scholarship deadline for internationals: April 6
  • Late deadline for internationals: July 1

Early Admission Decision

  • By July 15

Regular Admission Decision

  • By August 15

Transfer students can apply for entry in Fall by July 13.
