Aligned with the mission of ADA University, ADA School aspires to cultivate highly intellectual young minds who are closely collaborating, effectively communicating members of the global community with ethics and a sense of citizenship. The School will welcome its first students as of Fall 2019 and will serve both local and international youth in grades 10 and 11.
Conveniently located on ADA University campus in Baku, Azerbaijan, ADA School is the beginning of the education journey of future undergraduates and graduates. The curriculum offers a breadth of knowledge in multiple disciplines combined with communication and leadership skills much needed in the 21st century. We inspire students to love learning, adopt critical thinking and develop teamwork spirit, yet be independent and formulate their own goals. With the global outlook and traditions of academic excellence of ADA University, the school alumni will be competitive in admission processes to universities, whether through the State Examination Center (SEC) or SAT exams.
ADA Faculty and administrators are deeply invested in meeting and expanding the passion for the education of some of the brightest high schoolers in the nation and the world. With a roster of around 40 courses plus independent study and a vibrant campus life, the ADA School wishes to create an environment that prepares students for higher education and the interconnected global economy.
ADA School stands as a laboratory for the School of Education of ADA University, aiming to create a continuum in student learning by better aligning school-undergraduate-graduate levels of education. Through this and other notable international practices, ADA School intends to further enhance the quality of education at ADA University in the first place and to contribute to the development of new trends in the national education system.
The medium of instruction at ADA School is English. For those students whose English proficiency level will be below the required IELTS 5.0, certain subjects will be taught in the Azerbaijani language during the first year of study (Grade 10).
Admission to ADA School is a two-stage process: enrollment application review and internal interview. Committed to diversity as one of our core values, ADA School encourages applications from all corners of Azerbaijan and around the world, thus young peers to learn from one another.
ADA School accepts applications to Grade 10 for both to English and Azerbaijani sections and to Grade 11 only for the English section.
As part of your application, you will be required to submit the following documents:
Shortlisted applicants will be invited for an interview with the ADA School Admission Committee. The interview conducted in Azerbaijani or English (based on the applicant’s preference) will include questions on math skills and world outlook.
Prospective students receive their admission offer based on their SEC exams for Grade 9 combined with interview results from the ADA School Admission Committee.
ADA School charges a Flat Fee to underwrite the cost of education. The 2019-2020 tuition fee of 6,500 AZN (around 4,000 USD) does not include books and supplies, lunch, field trips or other expenses.
The ADA University undergraduate admission process is highly competitive. However, ADA School alumni benefit from a privileged admission process.
ADA School students participate in the SEC exam to receive their official transcript upon completion of Grade 9. They are not further required to take the SEC undergraduate level admission exam. They are admitted to an ADA University undergraduate program based on their ADA School academic record (Cumulative Grade Point Average) only.
