ADA University invites you to the screening of The Dance of Triumph, an award-winning Azerbaijani film dedicated to the victory in the 44-Day War and the stories of courage, sacrifice, and resilience behind it.

The film stars Azar Aydamir and Gunay Ahmad in the lead roles and was written and directed by Garay Hasan. The film was commissioned jointly by Ədibin Evi and ASAN TV.

The film follows Jalal, a war veteran who has lost both legs, as he struggles to reclaim his dignity, purpose, and joy within his family life. An unfulfilled promise—to dance the traditional “Heyvagulu” song at his fallen friend’s sister’s wedding—becomes a fragile thread of hope.

Blending intimate family moments with memories of brotherhood and sacrifice, the film portrays the resilience, love, and quiet courage it takes to keep living after the war.

The movie was adapted from a winning short story of the Mir Jalal Story Contest.
