ADA University’s School of Public and International Affairs invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor of Political Science, beginning in Spring 2026. About the Role
The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses such as State and Politics, World Politics, Comparative Politics, and related subjects. Beyond teaching, we value faculty who enrich the curriculum, engage actively in research, and contribute to the School’s intellectual life.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, student-centered teaching and contribute to curriculum development.
- Maintain an active research agenda, with publications in peer-reviewed journals and participation in international conferences.
- Support students through mentoring, advising, and academic guidance.
- Contribute to faculty collaboration, university committees, and community engagement.
- Carry a standard 3/3 teaching load, with the possibility of a reduced 3/2 load for Assistant Professors with strong research productivity.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Political Science or a closely related field (completed by January 2026).
- Evidence of, or clear potential for, strong research and publication.
- Demonstrated teaching excellence, supported by student evaluations.
- Proficiency in English (both spoken and written).
- Commitment to collegiality, innovation, and contributing to the university community.
