Adjunct Instructor / Adjunct Assistant Professor in Topics in Public Law (BAPA Program)

ADA University’s School of Public and International Affairs (SPIA) invites applications for the position of Adjunct Instructor / Adjunct Assistant Professor to teach the undergraduate major elective course “Topics in Public Law”. This adjunct position is for the Spring 2026 semester. The semester begins with the start of classes on January 21, 2026, and concludes with the final grade submission deadline on May 25, 2026. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching “Topics in Public Law” within SPIA’s Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration (BAPA) program. This course provides an in-depth examination of contemporary issues and specific themes within public law. As a “Topics” course, the specific subject matter may vary but will focus on areas such as constitutional law, administrative law, regulatory law, civil rights, or the intersection of law and public policy. The successful candidate may propose a specific topic of expertise.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver engaging, high-quality instruction for the “Topics in Public Law” undergraduate course.
  • Hold regular office hours (virtual or in-person) to support student learning.
  • Administer all coursework and examinations and submit final grades in accordance with university deadlines.

REQUIREMENTS

  • A Master’s degree (for Adjunct Instructor) or a Ph.D. (for Adjunct Assistant Professor) in Law (e.g., JD, LLM, PhD), or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated professional or academic expertise in the field of public law, constitutional law, administrative law, or a related legal/policy field.
  • Preferably prior teaching experience, especially at the undergraduate level.
  • Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
