Assistant / Associate Professor of Public Administration

The School of Public and International Affairs (SPIA) at ADA University invites applications for a full-time faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor of Public Administration, beginning Fall 2026. SPIA offers undergraduate and graduate programs in public administration and international affairs and is home to a growing faculty with diverse expertise across the social sciences. We are looking for dynamic, collaborative, and research-active scholars who are committed to advancing the study and practice of public administration and eager to contribute to an internationally oriented academic environment.

The successful candidate will teach a range of undergraduate and graduate courses in areas such as Public Administration and Management, Public Affairs and Governance, Public Policy Analysis, and other related subjects. Candidates for Associate Professor should have a publication record and teaching experience commensurate with rank.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver high-quality teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels and actively contribute to curriculum and program development.
  • Pursue an active research agenda, including publishing in reputable peer-reviewed journals and presenting at international conferences.
  • Contribute to program accreditation processes and quality assurance initiatives.
  • Collaborate with fellow faculty members and foster a collegial academic community.
  • Serve on university and school committees as needed.
  • Provide consistent support and mentorship to students, including supervision of theses and capstone projects.
  • Maintain a teaching load of 3/3 for Assistant Professors or 3/2 for Associate Professors. The load may be reduced to 3/2 for Assistant Professors who demonstrate a strong research record or clear research potential.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • A Ph.D. in Public Administration, Public Policy, or a closely related field from an accredited institution, to be completed by the start of employment.
  • A demonstrated record of, or strong potential for, high-quality research and teaching corresponding to the position and rank.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • A commitment to contributing positively to the university and the broader academic community.
