Within the Italy-Azerbaijani University project, the last module of the "Joint Certificate Program on Sustainable Horticultural Systems," was held with the cooperation of ADA and Bologna universities, with the support of "MacFrut" Academy. For this purpose, the participants of the program visited Bologna on May 6. The last module of the program, which started at the University of Bologna, will continue until May 10 at "MacFrut", one of the largest horticultural exhibitions in Europe, held in Rimini.
The participants had the opportunity to get acquainted with the latest trends in the relevant sector, new generation technologies, and specialized companies at the exhibition, and participated in numerous seminars on research and experiments currently being conducted in this field.
It should be noted that our country is represented at the "MacFrut" exhibition for the first time. Local companies that export fruits, vegetables, spices, and packaged food products produced in our country, as well as some institutions that play a role in the formation of the food value chain, are represented in the "Made in Azerbaijan" pavilion organized by AZPROMO. The newly established School of Agriculture and Food Sciences of ADA University was also located in that pavilion. The decision on the representation of our country at this exhibition was made during the meetings of AZPROMO, the Ministry of Agriculture, and other state institutions within the framework of the visit of
Renzo Piraccini, the founder and CEO of "MacFrut," to ADA University in 2023.
