ADA University hosted Mr. Clive Marshall, one of the prominent and experienced faces of UK media. He currently holds the post of Chief Executive of PA Group, the national news agency of the United Kingdom and Ireland.
Mr. Marshall talked about the notion of media plurality in modern and civil society. Drawing on examples from UK, the experienced media expert touched upon why the worlds of politics and journalism conflict most of the time and how the countered parties tackle the challenges. While talking about the importance of providing equal share of voice to all sides of the argument, he unvailed the positive and negative impacts of this equality on state and statehood.
Clive Marshall's lecture included the fundamental mindset on media plurality, commercial independence, the vital role of independent journalism, and strong journalistic principles in this era of misinformation and disinformation.
