ADA University launches a new Master's degree program

On December 16, ADA University hosted the inauguration ceremony of the new Master's degree program in Pedagogy.

Backed with the fundamental ideas of cultivating a new generation of secondary school teachers, the master's degree program aims to empower educators with in-demand skills that address today's needs.

Dr. Vafa Kazdal, the Vice-Rector of Academic Affairs at ADA University highlighted that during the last two years, ADA University was running a collaborative certificate program on Applied Pedagogy together with the Institute of Professional Development of Education Workers.
''Considering the highest demand for the 'Applied Pedagogy' Certificate course, we decided to launch this graduate-level program by the next year'', said Dr. Kazdal in her introductory remarks.
Dr. Kazdal emphasized that the School of Education of ADA University achieved excellent outcomes and real-world practice on application of high-quality education through the academic partnership with Michigan and George Washington Universities of the US during the last four years.
''...to address the needs of modern educators, the programs brought together the well-educated teaching professionals who received their PhD degrees from top universities. We are highly confident that this master's degree program will be an added value to the ongoing educational reforms in Azerbaijan'', noted Dr. Kazdal.

The program will be offered in the form of evening classes. At the end of the program which will be taught in English, the students will be able to use their research paper as an additional teaching resource.

Applications for the Master's degree in Pedagogy will be accepted until April 5, 2020.
The applicants are required to achieve at least a minimum of 45 scores from the first stage of the exam run by the State Examination Center and to show 6.5 points in IELTS academic..
