Bridging talents to careers: ADA University holds its 7th annual Career Fair

ADA University held its 7th annual Career Fair on February 28-March 2 on campus. The event offered more than 350 career opportunities, including jobs and internships to 1500 ADA students, alumni and even attracted prospective students as participants. With 113 companies featured at the Fair, it turned into an excellent recruiting opportunity where employers put their brands on a spotlight. At the booths set in Caravansarai and the Student Center HR representatives met and chatted with our talented students and alumni. General sponsorships of the Fair were provided by Kapital Bank and SOCAR AQS, while Pasha Insurance stepped in as the supporting sponsor. As usual, the number of companies represented at the ADA Career Fair kept growing this year too, with a dozen of new companies being welcomed for the first time- ANAS High Technologies, Food Safety Agency, FAB Paints and Chemicals, and others. Another pioneering field of the Fair was media with Ictimai TV (Public TV) not simply providing media coverage of the event, but also recruiting.
ADA Career Fair is a great platform for direct contacts between industry and students, where exhibitors present information about vacancies, trainee programs, internships, and research projects.  Participating companies and institutions have additional opportunity to exclusively present their business to a relevant pool of applicants and share their tips on career success. At the 7th Career Fair, it was Deloitte Company and Germain Lambert who talked to ADA students in special seminars to enhance their understanding of what recruiters expect from candidates.
