ADA University hosted the book presentation titled "Exploring Intersections Between Nizami and Dante."
This collective monograph comprises 31 chapters authored by scholars from a broad range of backgrounds, including Italy, Azerbaijan, Russia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Netherlands, Great Britain, and the United States. The book explores unexpected intersections among seemingly diverse cultures while highlighting the distinctive contexts that shaped these scholars’ perspectives and examining the influences that informed their worldview, intellectual spirit, and the broader intellectual climate of their time.
The event began with opening remarks by Dr. Nariman Gasimzade, followed by a presentation of the book by Prof. Rahilya Geybullayeva, who shared valuable insights into its themes and scholarly contributions. Prof. Hamlet Isakhanli also reflected on the book, offering his perspectives and experiences while discussing the intellectual intersections between Nizami and Dante. The discussion was further enriched by online presentations from our Italian co-editors, Prof. Maria Giavey and Prof. Nunzio Ruggiero.
