Online meeting with Dr. Araz Yusubov, dean of the School of Information Technologies and Engineering

On May 14, Dr. Araz Yusubov, dean of the School of Information Technologies and Engineering participated in an online meeting organized by the Caspian Event Organisers.

The main purpose of online meeting was to discuss the integration of online component into the modern education system.
During the live streaming, Dr. Yusubov covered a wide array of questions ranging from those related to the ADA University transition to online teaching, effectiveness of online and distance learning.

“Here, at ADA University, we launched the digitalization process with the implementation of Banner SIS (Student Information System) and the Blackboard LMS (Learning Management System) long before the coronavirus outbreak,” said Dr. Yusubov by adding that online learning is very familiar to ADA University students.
"...even our prospective ADA students submit their application in absolutely online mode before being our community member," added dean Yusubov.

Araz Yusubov said that online and distance education, which are being widely used in education sphere nowadays, brought new challenges and perspectives.

He noted that ADA University has successfully managed to minimize the negative impact of the coronavirus pandemic on teaching and learning processes and thanks to quick decisions made by University leadership in this unpredictable situation, our students were never stayed out of education. He mentioned that the faculty members showed tremendous dedication to enhancing the quality of teaching and supporting sustainability of learning.
