ADA University hosted the next briefing for diplomatic corps

On October 28, ADA University hosted the briefing for the diplomatic corps. The briefing focused on discussing the crimes committed by Armenia against the historical and cultural heritage of Azerbaijan.

Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmet Hajiyev, First Deputy Minister of Culture of Azerbaijan, Acting Minister Anar Karimov, and Vice-Rector of ADA University Fariz Ismailzade were the keynote speakers of the briefing.

Vice-Rector Fariz Ismailzade welcomed the representatives of embassies and international delegations and noted that Armenian aggression targets Azerbaijan's cultural heritage. Such illegal activities entail catastrophic consequences for our historical legacy.
Aide to Azerbaijani President Mr. Hikmet Hajiyev highlighted that Armenian armed forces continue to target residential areas outside the war zone. Mr. Hajiyev informed that roughly 20 people have died and more than 60 were injured as a result of rocket attacks by Armenian military forces to the densely populated areas of Barda district.

Acting Minister of Culture Mr. Anar Karimov evaluated the destruction of our historical monuments in Nagorno-Karabakh and surroundings as an attempt to destroy the cultural identity of Azerbaijanis in these areas. According to statistical figures recorded in the early 1990s, 2,625 monuments in total were registered in the occupied territories. Of these, 11 attached international importance, 240 national importance, and 455 local importance. In total, 706 monuments were protected by the state.
